Here at Foothills Chapel, we now have a live streaming wedding webcam system so hundreds of people from all over the world can watch your wedding live! And your friends and family can even pull up your wedding ceremony to watch at a later time, because it’s automatically saved in a convenient location on the web. Your wedding can be live-streamed!
What is the quality of the image? It’s better than YouTube but not as good as a digital video camera. If you want a really great image you will have to videotape your ceremony and send out the DVD. There isn’t any affordable way we know of to make a high-definition video that can stream across the web. However, our webcam is one of the highest quality web streaming cameras available.
What kind of internet connection do my family and friends need? We strongly recommend a quality, reliable, high-speed internet connection of at least 1mb. We have found that even 256K modems aren’t fast enough to receive the video stream. In our experiments, we have also found that some computers receive our video stream just fine and others "choke up," even on fast internet. This is why we always save your file, so your friends and family can download it and enjoy it a few minutes later if necessary. Be sure everyone understands that we can’t guarantee that this connection will work on their computers!
Is it hard to set up? It’s incredibly easy! All your friends and family have to do is to open their browser to http://ustream.tv/channel/foothillschapel. Then, type the password ‘chapel’ (without quotes) into the password box. Then they can just enjoy the ceremony!
