Friendly,
affordable, nondenominational ministers for
the ceremony of your dreams
Our Colorado officiates,
wedding ministers and priests are here to help officiate the
ceremony
of your dreams, with your choice of wedding vows, ceremony readings,
traditional Christian vows, civil, nontraditional, interfaith or renewal
of wedding ceremonies.
People who can’t have a Catholic wedding
or a Jewish wedding can still have elements of their family traditions
added into their nondenominational “church wedding ceremony” at our chapel or any of the available Denver wedding ceremony reception
locations, wedding halls or Colorado reception sites. Create your own
ceremony order, wedding vows or choose from ours.

Your Ceremony
Your ceremony is the spiritual heart
and soul of your wedding day. Yet, many people are uncertain how to
choose an officiate. You might even be a little intimidated when talking
with the person who will be saying some of the most important words
you will ever hear in your life. If you are entering into an interfaith
union, or if neither of you is affiliated with a local religious group,
you’ll need someone who understands your special needs on your
wedding day.
You may be looking for
a simple ceremony or for something more elaborate. Either way, our ministers
are here to serve you. You may choose from several nondenominational
ceremonies, readings and optional additions. That means you’ll
be able to find the words that speak to you, and hear them spoken in
a heartfelt, memorable way. You may also work with our ministers to
design a ceremony with your own words.
Your indoor or outdoor ceremony
can be traditionally religious or spiritual in a way that is meaningful
to you. In addition to the three ministers listed here who serve Foothills
Chapel, we can also arrange for a deacon who performs a Catholic ceremony,
a rabbi, and others. Even if you’re making a last-minute call
for a June wedding, we can usually find an excellent officiate for you.
Our ministers’ requested offering is very reasonable. Let us know
what you’re looking for: we can almost certainly meet your needs!

Your Officiate. The questions posed in this article are invaluable
in helping you decide who will be officiating on your special day. Our
ministers will meet with you at no cost or obligation. Once you choose
your officiate, you’ll meet with him again after you’ve
had a chance to look over the ceremony options.

Our Ministers
Rev. Chris Mohr was ordained in 1979 and has performed over 4,000 weddings, baptisms,
funerals and memorial services. He holds weekly services at the Federal
Correctional Institution in Englewood, Colorado. He and his wife Karen
run Foothills
Chapel in Golden. He loves mountain hiking and has made
it to the top of 35 of Colorado’s “fourteeners.” He
also enjoys scuba diving and a wide range of music.
In addition to Rev. Chris Mohr, we can also arrange for an American
Catholic ceremony, a rabbi, and several nondenominational ministers.
Even if you're making a last-minute call for a June wedding, we can
usually find an excellent officiate for you. Our ministers' requested
offering is very reasonable.
Our ministers request a
donation of $300 to perform your ceremony anywhere in the metro Denver
area or the nearby foothills. They may add a small travel charge if
the drive out of Denver is more than about 40 minutes. If you wish to
have your rehearsal run by our minister, the requested donation for
this service is $80. The requested donations are less if you have your
wedding at Foothills Chapel (see our Rates). All of our ministers are
happy to meet with you in person as well as by phone to go over your
wedding plans with you and help you make it the ceremony of your dreams!
